The city limits us on size, height, amount of concrete allowed on a site, flood plains, easements, setbacks, and the list goes on. It is extremely important for us to first evaluate what is possible on a given lot through a feasibility study. Our preferred architects are experts with decades of experience with the City of Austin’s ever-changing and complex codes. A feasibility study allows the client to spend a small amount of money to get vital information on what is possible. We want you to have all the information necessary to make educated decisions on the direction of your project.
For custom homes, you should expect a timeline of about two years from initial consultation to move in. It can be a daunting process but is even more so rewarding. We believe in front-loading the whole process. We encourage our clients to take their time in the design process, explore all ideas, and ensure all of their boxes are checked. A well-planned and thorough design phase where all details are worked out means construction will run smoothly. Moving out of the design phase all of the framework is in place, we just simply color in the lines.
